The bike scene is NJ is coming back strong. Friday June 30th, the Brighton Bar in Long Branch NJ was the Flake and Film show. The show was the brain child of NJ local Ray Shredhelm. Ray bounced the idea off a buddy who has some experience doing shows in NJ, Dusty. And the rest is history….the guys secured the Brighton Bar as the location then lined up some artists and photographers. The objective was to get some local talent to display their moto-culture inspired art. By the time I got there the place was already buzzing. As the night wore on, the place really started to fill up. They had displays set up through out and a table of some really cool tank art that was up for raffle. People flowed in and out of the bar all night and some local bands were cranking on the stage. The vibe was awesome and every one was having a blast. As it starting getting late, Dusty hopped on stage and raffled off the tanks. I was lucky enough to take one home! The party continued on but unfortunately, we had to split. For a first time event, Flake and Film, killed it. I really hope they look to do this again – it can only build momentum and get better. NJ needs more of these types of events but more importantly people need to attend them. So get out there and support the scene!!! check out a few pics….
